Pudding and prosecco Night

Sweet success as charity benefits 

Shotley Rose customers raised £1,460 for Alzheimer and dementia charities as they tucked into Prosecco, pudding, more pudding and more Prosecco. 

Organised by Heather Chaplin regulars at the Rose enjoyed a sweet and bubbly evening with a quiz and raffle and lots of desserts and fizz.

Top chefs Mike and Pauline Mulvhill, helped by Pauline's students from Year 11 at Holbrook Academy, with blackberry and sloe gin jelly topped with apple crumble ice cream, rhubarb and polenta cake, passion fruit cheesecake, iced madeleines with Cointreau infused oranges, chocolate grenache tart, bread and butter banana pudding, and lemon and Prosecco syllabub puddings, all helped down with Prosecco served up by Sarah and Donna at a packed pub.
